Welcome back to The Growth Ring.
Every Tuesday, one idea, one framework, one action. No fluff, no filler. Read it in three minutes, use it before lunch. That's the deal.
Let's get into it.
One Idea
Your business should not depend on you being a rockstar.
Most owner-operators are the best worker in their own company. That feels like a strength. It is actually the cap on your growth. When the quality, the pace, and the judgment all live in your head, the business can only ever be as big as your personal output.
The goal is not to work harder. It is to make yourself the least important person on any given job.
One Framework
The 3-Question Rockstar Audit.
Pick one recurring task you handle personally. Run it through these three questions:
Could I write down exactly how I do this? If the steps only exist in your head, that is the problem.
Could someone competent follow that and get 80 percent of my result? Perfect is the enemy here. Eighty percent done by someone else beats 100 percent done by you.
What would break if I disappeared for two weeks? That answer is your next system to build.
One Action
This week, document one task. Just one.
Open a blank doc, pick the task that scored worst on the audit, and write the steps as you do it in real time. Screenshots, links, the order you click things. Twenty minutes, no polish.
Hand it to one person and have them run it once without you. You just removed one brick from the wall.
See you next Tuesday.
Scott
